This kit allows welders who currently have a Speedglas Adflo PAPR welding helmet to upgrade to the new G5-01VC without having the buy an additional Adflo unit.

What you need in order to be able to use this upgrade kit:

1 x complete Speedglas Adflo motor

1 x Speedglas Adflo hose

Once you have these two parts, you can just plug the hose into this helmet and you're ready to go.

Absolutely love this helmet! Air adjustable directly where you want it. Veiw is so clear. Very comfortable, big improvements from previous models.

I've run the 9100FX air for a few years now. The detent (to adjust the viewing area) had broken off the outer shell so overheads were a pain and I was keen to check out the true vision lenses. I purchased the upgrade kit and am still using the original PAPR pump/hose. Probably got 60hrs or so on the G5-01VC now. The ability to adjust the air direction is great, as is the updated harness. The screen adjustment can be used with gloves on which is great as I do a lot of site/confined space work. Another plus is the additional protection on top of the helmet. Keeps the hotties out of your hair. The new lens with true vision is great and I'm still experimenting with the variable colour on different materials. Tacking function is great. The 9100 was always a pain to adjust during a job so the app is a bonus. The presets work well when switching from MIG to Plasma to TIG to Air arc etc.
